ABOUT
Dwaine was initially well known as half of the double act Double V. A group he formed with his childhood friend Graham Taylor aka G Wizzy, (Dwaine was known through this early period as D Wizzy). The harmonic duo earned respect and gained their own following by completing successful performances all over the UK. Within 2 years aged just 17 Dwaine and Graham had joined Derbys elite group for talented artists called Trinity.
This was the move that really gave him the opportunity to thrive as an artists. He began exploring and developing his writing abilities, built strong relationships with other talented artists, networking and recorded songs. Dwaine evolved his own style and presence as an artist during this period.
He is affectionately referred to by his fans, has worked hard and this along with his voice and charismatic nature have enabled him to receive numerous opportunities that have led him to work with some of the worlds leading musicians and also individuals that he himself looked up to as an aspiring artist. The Princes Trust Urban Music Festival which was filmed by DonenDusted, a Channel 4 film crew. The piece was broadcast as a reality TV show called Living The Dream where he also performed at a show for Prince Charles, Jay-Z, Rev Run, Russel Simmons, Lemar and Trevor Nelson.
Another Highlight was performing with Trinity at Kensington Palace again for Prince Charles, Jules Holland and many other successful artistes in the entertainment industry.
Performances with artists such as artist such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Lemar and Amy Whinehouse.
Winning an international competition to complete the Usher master class. This involved beating thousands of hopefuls to receive priceless performance tips and gain feedback on a live performances and studio sessions on a one to one basis with Usher, Trevor Nelson and others.
Not only has Dwaine travelled Europe showcasing his powerful and soulful voice he has also achieved success as a recording artist. Having had airplay with songs on radio stations such as Radio 1 1xtra, Galaxy and Urban choice. His critically acclaimed version of the hit song 'Im Sorry', lead to huge demand for him to travel doing performances of the track across the UK, and record an international video for the same track.
An all around nice guy and talented individual Dwaine has the full package. His experience to date has undoubtedly strengthened his resolve to become the best within his field.
Dwaine has appeared of other Tv shows such as Sky1s Must be the music, BGT, And most recently The Voice UK securing a position on Team Paloma.
Dwaine continues to expand his musical and performing knowledge i.e. playing the role of the Genie in a Panto production of Aladdin.
